I just got back from a lovely little Eurotrip which started in London, coincidentally, the same day the olympics started. Be it a blessing and a curse, I had a killer view of the olympic park and the opening ceremony from my flat but didn't go to any events because I was too busy shopping and partying. Like a sister to New York, London had plenty to offer: great thrifting, awesome style, cool people, and a major nightlife scene.

And it wouldn't have been a trip to London without visiting Whisky Mist for Daniel Lismore's Wednesday night party and the Box NYC's Soho counterpart, both of which are full of major looks from kids like Naddy Sane, Daniel Ellyott Moore, and Louie Banks, who give some of the NYC kids a run for there money. I was also extremely lucky to run into my old Aussie born friend, Mikey Woodbridge, on the street. A New Yorker turned London babe, I couldn't help but notice him turning it out on the street from my taxi, so I jumped out and we reunited over a late night visit to Subway!

I had an amazing time but a week was definitely not enough time to show England what this New Yorker had to offer. I'm already planning my next visit, so I'll be back mates!

Jet Boy Records Launch Party

Last night we attended the Jet Boy Records Lauch Party at The Box. Our classmate, friend, and fellow blogger Ky DiGregorio of Sound System NYC recently launched her own record label with her friend Rebecca Kiembock. I'll never forget the first time I met Ky. I walked into my room, and there she was, standing with my roommate with her pink hair and leopard fur coat. Ky's energy is like nobody else's. The label took over The Box and threw a party in true rock 'n roll style. Love Bullet performed and embodied the energy that Jet Boy Records is all about.

It's Friday, Friday!

No Friday night in the city is complete without a visit to Top8 or the Box. Top8 is a bi-monthly party underneath Lucky Chengs hosted by Elle Rex, Aaron Kolfage, Amy Cakes, and Avery Noize. This one is not to be missed. Evoking the feel of The Misshapes this party is filled with fashion and fun. The Box is another Friday party that is definitely worth the visit. Hosted by Kayvon Zand and Collective, The Box boasts insane performances that can be seen no where else and not to mention almost everyone in the front of the club is working a 'look.' We even have to sneak pictures because photography isn't allowed because the performances are so crazy. As to quote Rebecca Black, "gotta get down on Friday!"
